Grand Tanzania Northern Circuit Safari

9 days through Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro

A fuller northern Tanzania safari designed to reduce rushing and allow deeper exploration of each ecosystem. From Tarangire’s baobab country and the Rift Valley forests of Lake Manyara, continue into the Serengeti for three nights before finishing with Ngorongoro’s wildlife, volcanic scenery and human history.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Arusha

Meet your Bellmon Adventures representative at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your Arusha hotel. Rest after your flight and meet your driver-guide for a safari briefing.

Day 2 Arusha to Tarangire

Drive to Tarangire National Park for an afternoon game drive among baobabs, riverine woodland and seasonal marshes.

Day 3 Full day in Tarangire

Spend a full day exploring Tarangire, following elephant herds and other wildlife around the river, plains and quieter park sections.

Day 4 Lake Manyara and Karatu

Travel to Lake Manyara National Park for a guided game drive through groundwater forest, lakeshore and escarpment habitats. Continue to Karatu or the Ngorongoro highlands.

Day 5 Ngorongoro highlands to Serengeti

Cross the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and continue into Serengeti National Park, game-driving towards your camp.

Day 6 Serengeti wildlife safari

Spend a full day on the Serengeti plains with picnic or split game drives arranged according to camp location and wildlife activity.

Day 7 A second full day in the Serengeti

Explore another sector of the ecosystem, allowing time for big-cat sightings, plains wildlife and seasonal movement without rushing onward.

Day 8 Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Take a final Serengeti drive, then return towards Ngorongoro. Add an Oldupai Gorge museum visit when included and time permits. Overnight near the crater.

Day 9 Ngorongoro Crater and Arusha

Descend early for a crater-floor game drive and picnic lunch. Ascend in the afternoon and return to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Migration sightings remain natural and cannot be guaranteed.
Olduvai Gorge, balloon safaris, walking activities and cultural experiences are optional unless stated in writing.
International flights, visas, insurance, tips, personal expenses and unconfirmed activities are excluded.
