Experience four signature northern Tanzania landscapes in five days. Begin among Tarangire’s elephants and baobabs, pass through the Rift Valley at Lake Manyara, cross into the Serengeti for classic plains wildlife and finish inside the vast natural amphitheatre of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arusha to Tarangire

Drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park and begin game viewing among baobab woodland, seasonal marshes and the river corridor. Overnight in the Tarangire or Karatu area.

Day 2 Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro highlands

Explore Lake Manyara National Park on a guided game drive, looking for monkeys, elephant, giraffe, buffalo and birdlife. Continue to the Karatu or Ngorongoro highlands.

Day 3 Into the Serengeti

Cross the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend onto the Serengeti plains. Game-drive after entering the park and continue to your camp or lodge.

Day 4 Serengeti safari and Ngorongoro

Begin with an early Serengeti game drive, then travel towards Ngorongoro with wildlife stops along the route. Overnight near the crater or in the highlands.

Day 5 Ngorongoro Crater and Arusha

Descend to the crater floor for a guided game drive and picnic lunch. Ascend in the afternoon and return to Arusha for a hotel or airport drop-off.
