4-Day Tsavo Red Elephants & Mzima Springs Safari
Explore Tsavo East, Tsavo West and the famous Mzima Springs.
Cross one of Kenya’s great wilderness landscapes on a journey through Tsavo East and Tsavo West. Search the red-earth plains for elephant and big game, then move into volcanic country shaped by lava flows, springs, rocky outcrops and distant views of Kilimanjaro. The route can finish in Nairobi or continue to Kenya’s coast.
Itinerary
Day 1 Nairobi to Tsavo East
Leave Nairobi early and travel southeast to Tsavo East National Park. Enter the park and game-drive towards your lodge, with opportunities to see elephant, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, antelope and predators.
Day 2 Full day in Tsavo East
Explore different sections of Tsavo East on morning and afternoon game drives. Visit selected waterholes or river viewpoints according to wildlife movement and road conditions.
Day 3 Tsavo East to Tsavo West
Take a final Tsavo East game drive, then cross into Tsavo West. Explore the park’s contrasting terrain and visit Mzima Springs or another key attraction, subject to operating conditions.
Day 4 Final safari and onward transfer
Enjoy an early game drive before breakfast. Check out and continue to Nairobi, Mombasa or a confirmed coastal hotel, with final timing based on the selected endpoint.
