Join us on an unforgettable journey through western Uganda, where you’ll experience the region’s stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural heritage. Our 11-day adventure takes you on a thrilling safari, hiking, and cultural experience.
Day 1: Arrival at Lake Mburo National Park
Arrive at Lake Mburo National Park and enjoy a scenic boat ride, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Overnight at your lodge.
Day 2: Lake Mburo Game Drive and Evening Walking Safari
Embark on an early morning game drive, spotting zebras, antelopes, and buffalos. In the evening, enjoy a walking safari in the park, accompanied by a UWA armed ranger guide.
Day 3: Horse Ride in the Park and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Enjoy a relaxing horse ride in the park, spotting wildlife and taking in the scenic views. Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and check in at Bunyonyi Safaris Resort.
Day 4: Boat Ride, Pygmy Visit, and Birding
Take a boat ride to visit the local pygmies and experience their traditional way of life. Enjoy birding in the vicinity of the lodge and take in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Day 5: Canoeing and Hiking around Lake Bunyonyi
Embark on a full-day canoe trekking adventure on Lake Bunyonyi, hiking through villages and gardens, and taking in the breathtaking views.
Day 6: Transfer to Kisoro and Lake Mutanda
Drive to Kisoro, stopping at the Kanaba gorge for stunning views of the Virunga mountains. Visit Lake Mutanda and enjoy the scenic views.
Day 7: Mount Sabinyo Hike
Hike Mount Sabinyo, exploring the ridge and taking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Day 8: Batwa Cultural Trail and Cave Exploration
Embark on a cultural trail with the Batwa people, learning about their traditional way of life and experiencing their unique culture.
Day 9: Echuya Forest and Bamboo Forest Pygmies
Visit the Echuya Forest and spot primates and bird species. Meet the Bamboo Forest Pygmies and experience their traditional dances and songs.
Day 10: Igongo Cultural Museum and Kampala
Visit the Igongo Cultural Museum and learn about the traditional cultures of western Uganda. Drive to Kampala and overnight at your hotel.
Day 11: Departure
Transfer to Entebbe Airport for your departure flight.
